What was the highlight of Hotel Regina Bogotá
Decent value for money..
The room was spacious and clean, the bed was big and somewhat comfortable. The shower/hot water was amazing, a very nice treat as Bogota can get quite chilly at night. The breakfast selection was decent, consisting of cereals, eggs, some traditional foods and fruits.
Although the shower was great, it often leaked onto the rest of the bathroom floor as the glass doors aren't built with great quality (gaps in places). Our room wasn't facing the road so traffic noise wasn't an issue, however, noise from the hotel itself was pretty annoying. Thin walls meant you could hear people in other rooms, our room was right above the breakfast area where its skylight was outside our courtyard so noise from people would start from 6am onwards. There were a couple of times when other people would come back to the hotel late at night (after midnight), causing chaos and being extremely loud and the staff did nothing about it. It got very hot and stuffy in the room but there was no fan or air-conditioning so it got quite uncomfortable in our sleep.

Well located
Very well located, walking distance to main areas. Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel itself is very art Deco and has a lot of charm. We stayed in the studio room and really enjoyed how spacious it was. Staff at reception were friendly. We also asked for a quiet room which they accommodated for.
